Who are the Southern Academy of Sport?
From grassroots sport to international competition, we support thousands of athletes nationwide, upgrading their performance to become more athletic, healthier, more resilient to injury, and better prepared to perform.

S&C For Rugby (12+ Months Post-Partum)
This specialist strength and conditioning plan is a structured blueprint designed for rugby athletes who are 12 or more months postpartum and have already returned to sport.
It's built to safely guide you to peak performance on the pitch, focusing on the specific demands and risks of rugby.
Following this expert-designed program, you'll rebuild your strength, power, and resilience with a clear, proven pathway.
Your program starts relevant to the time of season (i.e. off, pre, or in), and a new phase is added every four weeks to ensure you continue to progress.
The program is delivered via our coaching app, where you can record your progress, view coaching videos and cues, as well as view alternative exercises to ensure you can complete the program no matter what equipment is available to you.

Post Partum Return To Exercise Program
Returning to exercise after childbirth requires a careful, considered approach.
Our Post-Partum Return to Exercise program provides a safe and structured pathway to help you rebuild your body's strength and function, first for the daily challenges of parenthood, and eventually a return to sport.
Developed in collaboration with our physiotherapy department, this fully individualised service focuses on core stability, pelvic health, and gradual progression back to strength training and eventually a return to the field, giving you the confidence and support you need to get back to fitness.
Your journey begins with an initial consultation with one of our coaches, either in-person or on video call, who will work with you to establish your goals, gain an understanding of your starting point (including injury history and a movement screen), then build a program that fits in with your time availability, preferences and training environment.
Your training will be delivered via our coaching app, where you can record your progress, message coaches and send videos or pictures of your training for feedback.
The coaching team will progress your program regularly in response to your progress.
